The tellmachines platform — your account, your knowledge, your transcripts — runs on mittwald mStudio infrastructure in Germany.
Call audio is never recorded
Not opt-out, not "only for quality purposes" — there simply are no audio recordings. What exists are text transcripts and summaries.
Retention you control
You decide how long transcripts are kept: from a single day up to 400 days — or summaries only, with the full text discarded.

The honest part
Who processes what? For the AI conversation itself we use OpenAI as the speech model provider; telephony is carried by Telnyx. Both are named openly in our privacy policy as processors, with their roles. We would rather tell you exactly where your callers' words travel than print a vague "100% local" claim that no realtime voice AI on the market could honestly make today.
GDPR. We process personal data on behalf of your business — transcripts, summaries, appointment details. Retention is configurable, deletion honored, and we don't use your callers' conversations to advertise to anyone.
EU AI Act. From August 2026, transparency obligations apply to AI systems that interact with people. We don't hide behind that — we make it easy: the greeting is yours to write, and the editor reminds you right next to the welcome-message field to let the agent introduce itself as a digital assistant. An agent that sounds this good has nothing to hide.
